About

Bouncy Hunters is a first person shooter style game, except that there is no shooting and no person for that matter!

Hunt down that bouncy hunter!

Hunt down that bouncy hunter!

The main character is an alien bounty hunter with a mode of movement strangely similiar to that of a bouncing ball. In an advanced game of tag in challenging 3D environments, the players battle it out in death match games.

This kind is of course suitable for multiplayer games. That’s why Bouncy Hunters now runs as a LAN or internet based game only. In the future, Norwinter plans our own game server for Bouncy games – Bounce Net.

Bouncy Hunters features a full 3D engine internally developed by Norwinter Studios, specifically for this one game. With very precise collision detection the physics simulation which drives this game becomes possible. In turn, this physics engine allows some unique game play which is likely to challenge experienced or fresh gamers alike. A high degree of spatial awareness and some pretty good skills of predicting movement are key to mastering the innovative game play of Bouncy Hunters.

Features:

  • OpenGL based 3D engine
  • Realistic physics of bouncing
  • Innovative graphics
  • Cool music by Frederico Da Silva

The reason for the hunt is simple. In the year LC31 the Council of the Universe had finally been pressured into taking action. The Union of Policing had for a long time been stalwartly opposed to bounty hunting. Officially, it was claimed that bounty hunting lead to an increase in crime as people taking the laws in their own hands made mistakes. The true reason, which the Union of Policing refused to acknowledge, was of course that the effective hunters were emptying the market for crime fighting. The Union yet being economically powerful, its clout within the Council of the Universe was undeniable. In this year, a ban, effective immediately and across all known space controlled by the council, was placed on bounty hunting. In order to enforce it, a bounty was posted on bounty hunters.

You, one of the greatest hunters ever known to space, gracefully accept this mission. You take on the role to collect this bounty by capturing other hunters using an advanced force field weapon. Of course, the other hunters are not many steps behind in your thinking and just might be planning to fight you back using the same weapon. If only you could get to it first…
